Pengaruh Literasi Geospasial Terhadap Kemampuan Orientasi Spasial Mahasiswa Pendidikan Geografi Universitas Hamzanwadi

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi geospasial pada era digital menuntut mahasiswa pendidikan geografi memiliki kemampuan memahami dan memanfaatkan informasi keruangan secara tepat. Salah satu kompetensi penting adalah literasi geospasial yang diduga berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan orientasi spasial mahasiswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh literasi geospasial terhadap kemampuan orientasi spasial mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Geografi Universitas Hamzanwadi. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian eksplanatori dan desain asosiatif kausal. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 26 mahasiswa yang dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan tes literasi geospasial dan tes kemampuan orientasi spasial, kemudian dianalisis dengan statistik deskriptif, uji normalitas, uji linearitas, dan regresi linear sederhana menggunakan IBM SPSS Statistics 26. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa literasi geospasial berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kemampuan orientasi spasial (Sig. = 0,000; R² = 0,636), yang berarti memberikan kontribusi sebesar 63,6%. Temuan ini menunjukkan pentingnya penguatan literasi geospasial melalui pembelajaran berbasis peta, SIG, penginderaan jauh, dan Web-GIS untuk meningkatkan kemampuan orientasi spasial mahasiswa.
